For Argentinian meat in a no-frills (think Coca Cola tables and loud locals) environment, La Pampa in La Linea de la Concepcion is unbeatable. Entrecote with baked potato for 13 euros. Beer in frozen pots, nice house red. Two types of mixed grill that contain everything from juicy sausage, well-spiced black pudding and beef ribs up to the best cuts of steak, cooked to your liking and enough for 2-4 people, from 20 euros. You may wake up at 7.30am on a Sunday morning with a half-digested cow in your strangely rumbling stomach, but it’s a small price to pay!
